The façade

The apartment is situated on the island of S.Elena, a green area of Venice, which is extremely calm because it is a long way from the tourist-flow, being situated to the east of the centre. The island is connected to the historical centre, of which it is a part, by two small bridges, so that it is possible to get around without using public transport, reaching St. Mark’s in about 20 minutes walking along the side of the lagoon: a beautiful walk.

St. Mark’s Square can be reached by public transport (lines 1, 52, 42) in about 10 minutes. Continuing in the opposite direction with the line 1 or 51 or 61 (5 minutes) you can travel to the Lido of Venice, an island famous for its beaches and also because it is the centre of the International Film Festival which is held every year at the beginning of September. Just a few minutes away, on foot, is the Biennale of Venice.

In addition, with the line 41 it is possible to reach the islands of Murano (glass), Burano (lace) and Torcello, a stupendous archaeological site of the Romanesque age. S.Elena can be reached from the railway station or from the car-park of Piazzale Roma with the lines 41, 51 and 61 in about 35 minutes.

If you arrive by plane you can use the ALILAGUNA service and get off at the Lido stop, from where you can take the line 1 to S.Elena (first stop).

 The apartment is constituted by: entrance-hall, double bedroom, kitchen, bath with shower, courtyard. The typical setup is for two people, but it is possible to add a third bed in the room and to use the couch-bed situated in the kitchen, to add an extra place.
